Leaving school safely
Like you, we are concerned for the safety of your children. The following tips will help your child depart safely.
- All parents entering the school grounds must sign in using the QR code.
- If collecting your child/children from school, please do not enter the school grounds until after the school bell at 3:08pm.
- When exiting the quad with your child/children, please either leave before or after the walking line. Please do not walk along the side of the walking line.
- Please do not walk through the car park. We actively discourage students from being near the car park.
- Please do not ask children to meet you at the car, as this presents serious safety concerns.
- Children walking in the Bruce Street line should wait for the teacher.
- Children catching buses should make their way directly to the appropriate bus line.
- If a parent would like to collect their child from the bus line, they should come into the playground and escort their child across the road.
Getting to and from school safely
As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.
Keep our school community safe by:
- driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
- being a good role model
- never calling your child from across the road
- using the safest place to cross the road.
For parents and carers of younger children
Discuss with your child how to be safe when:
Also talk about and practise:
- safe travel routes
- plans for when unexpected things happen
- what to do in wet weather.

- The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
- The School Drive Subsidy may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.
